The original Grand Theft Auto surfaced amid complaints from baby-kissing senators and tearful mothers, and threats of a rating that would make the game an ID-requiring purchase. But all that really happened is DMA Design got its first viable franchise since Lemmings. This time, they're back with more carjackers in GTA2. In this iteration of the series, the city is overrun with crime. You're a lowly gang member, and you have to gain status and esteem by offing the members of other gangs while stealing cars and evading the police. Like in the first game, this all takes place in a zoomed-out overhead perspective. Unlike the first, it's fully polygonal. If you liked the first one, this is a good bet.
